Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist with seafood and deli areas, ensure sanitation, stock levels and signage, and help members with special cuts and recommendations to meet club standards.

The role emphasizes fast, friendly service, safety, and teamwork across departments to deliver consistent quality in a live retail environment. Prior meat-cutting experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures and keeps the meat department clean and stocked.
