Food City is seeking an on-site meat department team member to cut and merchandise fresh meat, assist in receiving and displaying products, grind and slice meat, and rotate stock. You will maintain clean display cases, ensure proper dating, and uphold HACCP standards while delivering friendly customer service.

The role emphasizes reliability, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and on-site attendance, with opportunities to contribute to a family-owned grocery environment focused

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts per time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Rotate product.
• Keep display cases neat and clean.
• Maintain proper code dates on all products.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Department is sanitized and disinfected twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining the HACCP program.
