Job summary

Food City is seeking a dependable team member for the meat department to cut, grind, slice, and merchandise fresh meat while providing excellent customer service. You will assist with ordering, receiving, and displaying products, rotate stock, and maintain clean display cases and proper dating.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler arrangement and stock cooler.
• Rotate product.
• Maintain neat and clean appearance of all display cases.
• Maintain proper code dates on all display product.
• Keep workstation and area around it neat and clean.
• Department to be sanitized and disinfected twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining the company HACCP program.
