Job summary

Food City is seeking a team member for its meat department to cut, grind, and slice fresh meat, and to assist with ordering, receiving and displaying products. The role includes maintaining clean display cases, rotating stock, and enforcing HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and perform routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and merchandising of all fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all product.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Assist in organizing cooler arrangement and stocking cooler.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Maintain neat and clean appearance of all display cases.
• Maintain good code dates on all product in display cases.
• Keep work station neat and clean; sanitize and disinfect department twice a day.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining HACCP program.
