Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member in Port Charlotte, FL. The role involves cutting, grinding, wrapping, and labeling meat, as well as assisting members with product recommendations and special cuts. You will ensure proper stocking and sanitation in a fast-paced department.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Makes sure the meat case showcases all currently available products.
• Insures the meat department maintains inventory and rotates items according to dates.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
