Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member in the Delray Beach, FL area to receive, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats while upholding sanitation and safety standards. The role supports special orders and ensures accurate labeling and pricing across the meat department.

Expected to follow club policies, assist members, and maintain inventory and displays. The position requires a training/apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
