Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to support daily fresh meat production and merchandising. You will assist with order writing, deliveries, and customer service to ensure top quality cuts.

Responsibilities include organizing meat orders, checking in deliveries, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Prior meat handling or packaging experience is helpful, along with a safety-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

This position assists in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. The individual also follows the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.
