Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an associate to assist with daily fresh meat preparation and order fulfillment in a fast-paced department. You will help write orders, organize deliveries, and maintain attractive product displays for customers.

The role requires familiarity with meat weights and measures, adherence to safety and sanitation procedures, and experience with packaging and inventory control. A handjack/hilo license and knowledge of ordering systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiar with weights and measures used in meat processing.
• Able to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience presenting and packaging meat products.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control processes.

This position assists in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. The individual also follows the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
