Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking an entry-level meat department associate to assist in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. You will follow the production schedule and help ensure availability of advertised fresh meat cuts.

You will write fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, and maintain positive relationships with customers and staff while adhering to safety and sanitation procedures. A current handjack/hilo license is required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.
