Job summary

Ampact is hiring Math Tutors to work at local schools through Math Corps. You will guide small groups of students through 20–30 minute math practice sessions and track progress with an on-site coach. Training is provided to deliver proven activities, assess skills, and support students as they build confidence.

The role supports us in our mission to expand opportunities for students, with AmeriCorps stipends and education awards for eligible members.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
