Job summary

Ampact is hiring Math Tutors to work with students in local schools during the 2026-27 school year. Tutors will conduct 20–30 minute sessions with groups of up to 3 students and help them build math skills on a daily schedule.

Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a stipend and coaching, with opportunities to learn proven activities and grow with the program. Part-time options are also available, aligning with school calendars and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States; able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
