Job summary

Ampact’s Math Corps seeks tutors to support students in local schools. You’ll lead short math tutoring blocks, track progress, and collaborate with an onsite coach to tailor support. You’ll be trained to deliver proven activities and grow through coaching.

As an AmeriCorps member, expect a 35-hour work week (with holidays) and a daytime schedule, Monday to Friday. Part-time options exist at 20 hours. Benefits include health insurance, education assistance, and loan support.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions & adapt based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email & online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading & writing).
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school’s onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
