Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking tutors to work in local schools, delivering targeted math practice to small groups of students. You’ll be trained to lead sessions, track progress, and collaborate with school staff to maximize student growth.

As an AmeriCorps member, you’ll receive a biweekly stipend of $17.50 per hour served, with health insurance, child care assistance, and education benefits to support your service and family.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
