Job summary

Ampact’s Math Corps is hiring a Math Tutor to work at a local school, helping students build their math skills through guided practice and supportive coaching.

You will lead small groups of up to 3 students, track progress, and return students to class while preparing the next group for tutoring. Position supports AmeriCorps, with coaching and growth opportunities. Part-time options available; strong English skills required.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who helps children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
