Job summary

Ampact seeks a Math Tutor to work with students in a local school, providing focused math practice and coaching to build confidence. Training is provided, and you’ll tutor small groups daily, following a set schedule and reporting progress to a on-site coach.

Join as part of the AmeriCorps program, with a weekly schedule, and opportunities to grow through coaching, plus access to education awards and a biweekly stipend during the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve from feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
