Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to work in local schools, delivering hands-on math practice to groups of students. You'll be trained to run proven activities and coached every step of the way.

On a typical day you’ll tutor up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, track progress, and coordinate with an onsite coach. This AmeriCorps role includes a competitive hourly wage and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and adjust based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent; US resident or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes.
• Follow a set schedule to ensure students receive consistent support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Enter student scores into data software and maintain records.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share tutoring experiences with the community.
