Job summary

Ampact-based Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to work with students in local schools to build math skills and confidence. You will run small groups, follow a set schedule, and help students return to class after sessions.

Trainings and coaching are provided, and you’ll participate in the broader AmeriCorps program. This role runs during the 2026-27 school year with weekday daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance and reliability.
• Able to follow instructions and improve from feedback.
• Basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for support.
• Track student progress and meet with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Grow through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
