Job summary

Ampact’s Math Corps program is seeking a Math Tutor to work at a Moreno Valley school. You’ll tutor groups of students for 20–30 minutes, help them practice, and record progress, while receiving training and coaching to deliver proven activities.

Position is part of AmeriCorps, with a full-time schedule of about 35 hours per week, daytime hours, Monday–Friday; part-time options are available. Stipend provided every two weeks and education awards may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
