Job summary

Ampact is seeking a Math Tutor for the Math Corps program in Moreno Valley. You will work with small groups of students during the school day to build math skills and confidence. Training and ongoing coaching will support you as you help students progress and return to class.

Positions follow a school calendar (August 2026–June 2027) with daytime hours, 35 hours weekly for full-time or part-time options of 27.5 or 20 hours. Stipend and education awards offered through AmeriCorps.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and dependability.
• Ability to follow instructions and use feedback.
• Fluent English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent; U.S. citizen or eligible.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to 3 students.
• Follow a schedule to ensure consistent support.
• Track student progress and report to the on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software.
• Engage in coaching and training for growth.
• Share tutoring experiences with the community.
