Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking tutors to help students build math skills in a school-based program supported by AmeriCorps. You will tutor groups of students, follow a set schedule, and track progress with an on-site coach. The role includes growth through coaching and involvement with the broader tutoring network.

As an AmeriCorps member, you’ll receive a biweekly stipend while contributing to a national service effort dedicated to student success and community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with a solid attendance history.
• B able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
