Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab testing technician to conduct materials testing (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel), observe site activities, and report results to the Project Manager. The role involves equipment maintenance, data tabulation, and ensuring safety standards are followed on each project site.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 1–2 years of related experience or training, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with project team and client representatives.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks including Word and Excel.
• Adhere to safety standards and report hazards.
• Demonstrate accuracy in data recording and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Document findings and communicate results to the Project Manager.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and related tools.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure quality standards on all projects and proper data handling.
