Job summary

Terracon seeks a field/lab technician to perform testing, observation and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and steel. You will communicate with project managers, transport samples to the lab, and prepare data and reports for daily submission.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of relevant experience, plus proficiency with laptop, Word and Excel; a valid driver’s license may be required. NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant field or laboratory experience.
• Experience with laptop use and MS Word/Excel.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data before submission to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks and maintains equipment.
