Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field and laboratory Materials Testing Technician to support testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate results to the project team and prepare data-rich reports for daily transmittals.

Responsibilities include sample transport, equipment maintenance, adherence to safety standards, and assisting with scheduling of technicians on site. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word/Excel.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection per training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic data analysis before submitting to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and calibration.
• Follows safety rules and maintains quality standards on projects.
