Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field and laboratory technician to perform field and lab testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel on construction sites. You will communicate with project managers and client representatives, observe testing requirements, and document results.

In this role you will transport samples to the lab, prepare reports for daily submission, maintain equipment, and support safety practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate findings to Project Manager and client representatives.
• Maintain safe work practices and report safety issues.
• Prepare data and observation notes for daily transmittals.

Responsibilities

• Assist on basic testing and observations under supervision.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to Project Manager for submittal accuracy.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by supervisor.
• Progressively take on more training and responsibility.
• Maintain assigned equipment and workspace.
• Follow safety rules and perform pre-task planning.
