Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab technician to perform testing and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will document findings, assist with data analysis, and support project managers on multiple sites.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, safety adherence, and timely data submission. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience are required; NICET/ICC/ASNT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop computer and MS Word/Excel.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• NICET Level II or ICC/ASNT/AWS certifications preferred.
• ACI certification in Concrete Field/Strength Testing and radiation safety certification are preferred.
• Other national/local materials-related certifications will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed per training and procedures.
• Documents findings clearly and communicates results.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before PM submission.
• Communicates information to PM and project team.
• Assists higher-level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment and related tools.
• Adheres to safety rules and pre-task planning; reports safety issues.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
