Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, and steel. You will communicate results to the Project Manager and prepare reports for daily transmission, while keeping equipment clean and calibrated on site.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in laptop use and MS Word/Excel. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant field experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop usage and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed per training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data before submission to the Project Manager.
• Communicates findings to the PM and project team.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains equipment and calibration.
