Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials on-site. You will collect soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt samples, document results, and coordinate with project managers and client representatives to ensure testing meets project requirements.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma, proficiency with laptops and MS Word/Excel, and a valid driver’s license. Certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop computer use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data prior to submittal to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and personnel as directed by PM.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and calibration.
• Follows safety rules and practices for all projects and reports safety concerns.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
