Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab technician to perform material testing, observation, and inspection across soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will collect samples, document results, and report to the Project Manager while maintaining equipment and safety protocols on-site.

Requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years’ experience, and valid driver’s license. NICET/ACI certifications and related qualifications are preferred to support complex tasks and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license (may be required).

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per procedures.
• Documents findings clearly and promptly.
• Analyzes data for accuracy before submission to the Project Manager.
• Communicates results to PM and team as directed.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment; keeps vehicles and sites clean.
• Adheres to safety standards and participates in pre-task planning.
