Job summary

Oatey, a Cleveland-based manufacturer and distributor of plumbing products, is seeking a highly capable Supply Chain Receiving Supervisor. This role oversees material planning, inventory control, warehousing, and cycle counting, guiding teams to meet service levels and production needs.

You will collaborate across functions, lead Lean initiatives, and ensure accurate planning data, while supporting continuous improvement, safety, and material availability across the site.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or related field; experience may substitute for degree.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Experience with planning and scheduling in high-volume warehouses using MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Receiving team including Material Handlers and Inventory Specialists.
• Manage purchased inventory to balance working capital with production needs.
• Communicate shortages and expediting status across functions.
• Lead Lean/continuous improvement to minimize inventory in line with goals.
• Coordinate with planning to align demand and material availability.
• Oversee annual inventory process and SOP maintenance.
• Ensure safety policies and quality practices are followed.
