Job summary

Oatey in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Supervisor - Materials Receiving to lead the receiving team and drive material inventory planning, cycle counting, and collaboration with planning and production. The role focuses on maintaining service levels, reducing shortages, and applying Lean principles across the warehouse.

You will manage high-volume receiving, coordinate with sourcing and production, and ensure safety and SOP compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in business, industrial engineering or related field.
• Experience with MRP in SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Significant supervisory experience in a high-volume warehouse/receiving operation.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receiving team including Material Handlers and Inventory Specialists.
• Manage purchased inventory to balance working capital and production needs.
• Communicate shortages and expedite status across functions.
• Lead Lean initiatives and PFEP to minimize inventory.
• Coordinate with production planning to align demand and material availability.
• Oversee cycle counts, MRB decisions, and inventory accuracy.
• Drive safety, quality and process SOP adherence across the receiving function.
