Job summary

Oatey, located in Cleveland, OH, seeks a highly visible supply chain leader for Receiving to manage material planning, inventory control, receiving, warehousing, and cycle counting. This hands-on supervisory role drives service levels and collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support to meet business goals.

The position emphasizes developing and executing inventory plans, improving processes, and leading continuous improvement efforts aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• APICS certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of planning and scheduling with previous MRP experience in SAP, Oracle, or other ERP software packages.
• Significant supervisory experience in a high-volume warehouse/receiving operation.
• Strong initiative and follow-up skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Scale WMS.
• Experience in planning and scheduling for high volume repetitive products; build to forecast environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receiving team including Material Handlers and Inventory Assurance Specialists.
• Manage all purchased inventory to ensure appropriate working capital while meeting production requirements.
• Communicate shortages and expediting status across functions.
• Lead Lean and PFEP initiatives to minimize inventory.
• Coordinate with production planning to align demand with materials.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and lead annual inventory process.
• Develop SOPs for material planning processes and systems.
• Assist New Product Introduction teams with packaging components and materials.
• Cross-train to back-up production scheduling and distribution planning.
• Coordinate rail car deliveries with Sourcing and Purchasing.
