Job summary

Pro-Active Engineering seeks a Materials Manager to plan, direct and control activities related to raw materials, components, tooling, equipment, and coordinating shipping/receiving and kit release to production.

This role leads the Materials team, focuses on cost reduction, supplier relations, and inventory accuracy to ensure on-time delivery and efficient operations across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Production Operations or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of inventory management-related experience.
• Proven track record of driving cost reduction through materials management.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Materials team, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Supervise flow of raw materials, components, tooling, equipment from receiving through shipping.
• Establish and direct a cost reduction program to lower inventory, shipping, storage costs.
• Oversee order and billing discrepancies with accounting and vendors.
• Ensure on-time delivery of kits/materials to the production floor.
• Develop cadence of inventory reviews for obsolete or excess materials.
