Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Materials Coordinator in Houston to oversee material management, receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution to support field construction activities.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineering, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure safe and timely material flow and accurate inventory records. A forklift certification and EPC project exposure are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years' experience managing materials for a warehouse or lay-down yard; EPC projects in electric power delivery preferred.
• Understanding of receiving processes, counts, inspections, inventory, storage, and issuance of material.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certified Forklift Operator 8K-55K telescoping lifts or ability to obtain certification soon after hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all inventory is handled and stored safely per requirements and specs.
• Manages receiving, counting and inspecting materials delivered to sites or warehouses; resolves discrepancies.
• Directs placement and distribution of materials to ensure safe transport to/from sites.
• Coordinates between project managers, engineering, suppliers, and teams to resolve material issues.
• Manages QA/QC receiving and issuing of material for safe and timely delivery.
• Plans phase bundling, staging, and kitting to streamline materials for construction.
• Performs on-site material audits to verify inventory accuracy.
• Maintains files and records for lay-down yard inventory and operations.
• Inputs project material data into inventory management system to provide real-time reporting.
• Oversees off-loading and storage of materials as they are received or issued.
