Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Materials Coordinator to oversee the receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of project materials for field construction activities. You will coordinate with project managers, engineering staff and suppliers to ensure accurate inventory and timely delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of materials management experience in warehousing or lay-down yards, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• 3 years’ experience managing materials for a warehouse or lay-down yard; EPC projects in the electric power delivery sector.
• Understanding of receiving processes related to counts, inspections, inventory, storage, and issuance of material.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certified Forklift Operator 8K–55K telescoping lifts (Lull) and skid-steers to lift, move, or place equipment or materials; or the ability to obtain this certification soon upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inventory is handled and stored safely according to requirements and engineering specs.
• Manage and execute receiving, count, and inspection of materials delivered to site/warehouse; reconcile discrepancies.
• Direct distribution of materials and equipment to trucks for safe transport to/from sites.
• Coordinate between project managers, engineering staff, suppliers, and construction teams to resolve material issues.
• Manage QA/QC receiving and issuing of material for safe, timely receipt and issue.
