Job summary

Quanta-Services is seeking a Materials Coordinator to ensure timely coordination of materials management across project sites, warehouses and lay-down yards. You will receive, inspect, store and issue materials, ensuring accuracy and safe handling for field construction activities.

The role requires 3 years of materials management experience, forklift certification, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel up to 25% is expected, with a focus on safe, efficient material flow and coordination with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years’ experience managing materials for a warehouse or lay-down yard; EPC project experience preferred.
• Understanding of receiving processes, inspections, storage, and material issuance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certified Forklift Operator for 8K–55K lifts or ability to obtain certification soon after hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, inspection, put away and storage of project materials.
• Manage receiving, counts, inspections, and discrepancies (QA/QC, overage, shortage, damage).
• Direct distribution of materials and equipment to trucks for safe transport.
• Resolve material questions and coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and teams.
• Oversee QA/QC receiving and issuing of materials; maintain inventory accuracy.
• Plan bundling, staging, and kitting to streamline materials for construction.
• Perform on-site material audits and maintain lay-down yard records.
• Input data in inventory system for real-time reporting; assist in project closeout.
