Job summary

The Hillman Group in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Material Handler to move and stock materials and finished products in a fast-paced warehouse. You will use a hand scanner, operate pallet jacks and other equipment, and support timely replenishment to workstations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and compliance with safety practices. Schedule is early shift with pay at $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Pick up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.

• Transfer finished products to designated areas.
• Stack pallets and operate pallet jack.
• Report problems and follow safety practices.

Schedule 600 am - 300 pm (Monday - Thursday) & 600 am - 1200 pm (Friday)

Hourly Pay Rate $19.00

Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility.

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
