Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler to support operations in our Kansas City facility. This role involves moving and stocking materials, loading/unloading stock, and ensuring replenishment to workstations as needed.

Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks and forklifts, scanning with RF devices, and transferring finished products to designated areas. A HS diploma or GED is required and forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with RF scanners and pallet jacks.
• Able to read and follow verbal and written instructions.

• Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility.
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger.

Job Summary

Schedule: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm (Monday - Thursday) & 6:00 am - 12:00 pm (Friday)

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00

Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility.

Essential Job Functions *

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
