Job summary

The-Hillman-Group is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment. The role runs from 3:00 pm to 11:45 pm, Monday through Friday, with an hourly pay rate of $20.50 plus shift differential.

You will load/unload trucks, use RF scanners, and ensure items are stocked and replenished in a timely manner. Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and a Drexel system, plus picking and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
