Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler to support operations in our warehouse. The role involves moving materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment, loading/unloading trucks, and replenishing stock at workstations.

You will operate pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers and RF scanners, and ensure accurate handling of inventory. A forklift certification and HS diploma are required, with standing on concrete floors and exposure to noise common in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Material handling experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Picks up incoming materials from the Receiving dock and moves them to storage or production areas.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas and stacks pallets as needed.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
