Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in the Baltimore area is seeking a Meat Department Associate to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, and assist in meat selection for Members.

You will support the rotisserie and deli sections and uphold sanitation standards in a fast-paced club. Completion of a training program or apprenticeship is required; prior meat cutting experience is preferred, and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Rotates meats and maintains inventory and displays.
