Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an experienced meat department associate to receive, cut, wrap, and merchandize meats, seafood, and deli items in a fast-paced club environment.

The role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience, with a focus on sanitation, safety, and customer service. 18+ years old, located in a cooler area with lifting duties may be involved.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Receives, rotates, cuts, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats, including grinds.
• Assists in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses and deli.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards within the meat department.
• Rotates and inventories meat, poultry, seafood, and cheese per expiration dates.
