Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to support fresh and prepared meats, seafood, and rotisserie items. You will assist Members, prepare and cut meat, and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced club environment.

Daily duties include weighing, packaging, and labeling products, rotating stock by expiration, and maintaining clean, organized meat displays while upholding company quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
