Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meats Department Associate to prepare, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh meats, poultry, seafood, and cheeses. You’ll rotate stock, spotlight bestsellers, and assist members with product questions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements include completion of a training program or apprenticeship and previous meat cutting experience; knowledge of wrapping machines is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the meat department.
