BJs Wholesale Club is seeking a hands-on Meat Department associate to assist Members with cuts, selection, and guidance on meat, poultry, and seafood products. You will cut, wrap, weigh, and label items to company standards while maintaining safe, clean work areas.

The role emphasizes accurate inventory, quality display, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Prior meat-cutting experience and a willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assists Members by answering questions and recommending meat, poultry, and seafood cuts.
• Cuts, grinds, weighs, wraps, and labels fresh meats to company standards.
• Maintains inventory and ensures meat cases are stocked and properly displayed.
• Inspects deliveries and maintains sanitation and safety in the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including cross-training in other departments.
