BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter to assistMembers with meat, poultry, and seafood selections, perform standard cuts, and maintain high sanitation and display standards in the meat department.

Ideal candidates have prior meat cutting experience and familiarity with wrapping machines, and must be at least 18 years old. This on-site role offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on member service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains the meat department appearance and inventory to meet quality standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
