Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Los Angeles seeks a Settlement Operations Manager to oversee the design and standardization of intake, tracking, QA, and reporting across mass tort settlements. The role acts as the SME for the practice's case management and settlement systems, translating legal needs into technical requirements and coordinating with firm technology staff and outside vendors.

You will train lead paralegals, maintain process documentation, and ensure data integrity and audit readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in mass torts, complex litigation, or settlement administration.
• Experience documenting and standardizing processes across multiple matters.
• Experience with case management or CRM systems (Case Manager Pro, Litify, or Filevine) and SQL-based platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills and recurring reporting ability.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain intake, data entry, tracking, and reporting protocols.
• Serve as the primary SME on case management and settlement tracking systems.
• Coordinate data synchronization across firm systems and third-party portals.
• Lead intake of case information and reconciliation of inventories.
• Train staff and develop reference materials.
