Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Department Manager to drive customer service, team performance, food quality and profitability in a fast-paced store kitchen setting. You’ll lead day-to-day operations, guide staff, and partner with store leadership to ensure top performance and exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include setting department standards, staffing, scheduling, inventory, pricing, and analyzing sales trends to optimize results while maintaining safety and hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over one year of related work experience required.
• Sanitation coursework helpful.

Responsibilities

• Set and uphold department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance, and profitability.
• Lead by example with welcoming customer interactions and a positive department atmosphere.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, discipline, and evaluate department staff; approve discipline and salary changes.
• Determine department goals with Store Director and establish weekly schedules and daily work plans.
• Inspect merchandise displays, order product for replenishment, and oversee department bookkeeping.
