Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Marine Corps requirements. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and technical planning across expeditionary, littoral, and tactical edge networking environments.

The role involves up to 50% travel, with a 100% remote option depending on location. Requires 2–5 years in systems/defense tech, SDRs exposure, and secret clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR with 2–5 years of experience
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications systems
• Familiar with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators
• Security clearance: Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting (Python, C++)
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting
• Outdoor environment for field trials and demonstrations
• Lift up to 50 lbs for setup of demos/tests

Responsibilities

• Bridge technical radio frequency capabilities with Marine Corps customer requirements
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field trials
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to validate architectures
• Assist Business Development with technical needs and roadmap inputs
• Develop and present demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs
• Conduct market research for partner integrations and end-to-end architectures
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers
• Capture field feedback and translate to product roadmap inputs
