Job summary

Orion is seeking a marine construction supervisor to oversee ongoing projects and ensure safe, efficient operations on site. The role involves coordinating with the Project Superintendent, field engineers, and craft workers across multiple trades while maintaining strict safety standards.

Applicants should have at least five years in marine construction or a comparable supervisory role, with ability to read blueprints and manage piledriving, crane ops, welding, carpentry, and other trades.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in marine construction or equivalent supervisory role.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams and coordinate multiple crafts.
• Experience across piledriving, crane operations, welding, carpentry, sandblasting, pipefitting.
• Prior supervisory experience and CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee completion of current marine construction projects as assigned.
• Plan and schedule work activities with project operations and crews.
• Monitor time schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure permits are in hand before work proceeds.
• Inspect equipment to verify proper operation.
• Supervise skilled craft employees on the project site.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Train workers in equipment use and problem solving.
• Maintain accurate crew time records and coordinate activities.
• Promote a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.
• Demonstrate safety knowledge of hazards, permits, and procedures.
• Work with project Superintendent and other leaders to complete projects safely.
• Remain able to drive to visit work locations and sites.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental initiatives for compliance.
