Job summary

Orion Marine Construction is seeking a Barge Foreman to supervise daily operations on the work barge in Louisiana field sites. You will coordinate with the Project Superintendent, Safety Representative, and skilled trades to ensure safe, efficient performance of marine construction tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years marine construction experience on a work barge or equivalent supervisory capacity.
• Knowledge of integrating crafts to perform work (pile driving, crane ops, welding, carpentry, sandblasting, pipefitting).
• Must be trained and certified in First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Oversees completion of current marine construction projects as assigned by the Project Superintendent.
• Manages movement of marine floating rigs between locations.
• Receives and handles materials and equipment required for marine operations; performs pile driving, marine loading arms, stevedoring, and dock repairs.
• Trains new workers in equipment use and analyzes/work problems; maintains time records.
